Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Gemlik'te bulunan vatandaşlara hitap ettiği konuşmasında, küçük işletmeleri desteklemek için vergi muafiyeti ve ÖTV indirimi gibi bir dizi önlem açıkladı. Togg SIRO batarya fabrikası için gerçekleştirilecek temel atma töreni öncesinde halkla buluşan Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan, Togg'un sadece bir otomobil fabrikası olmayıp, aynı zamanda tasarımı, yazılımı ve temiz enerji çözümleri ile teknolojik bir hamle olduğuna dikkat çekti. Karadeniz gazındaki yatırımdan bahseden Erdoğan, ülkemize sağlayacağı kazançla geleceğe yatırım yapılacağını söyledi.
Erdoğan, esnafların vergi muafiyetinden yararlanmalarına ilişkin sınırı 320 bin liradan 700 bin liraya çıkaracaklarını, evlerinde imal ettikleri ürünleri internette satanların da bu muafiyet kapsamına alınacağını açıkladı. Ayrıca ticari araçlarını yenilemek isteyen esnafı ÖTV ödemesinden muaf tutacaklarını belirtti.
Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan, HDP'ye yönelik eleştirilerde bulunarak, ülkenin güvenliğini tehlikeye atanların hesap vereceğini vurguladı. Enflasyonu tek haneli rakamlara düşürmeyi hedeflediklerini söyleyen Erdoğan, aile ve gençlik bankası kuracaklarını ifade etti. İstihdamı desteklemek için girişimci gençlere de 150 bin liraya kadar faizsiz kredi sağlanacağını ve evlilik teşviki kapsamında da genç çiftlere 2 yıl ödemesiz ve faizsiz kredi verileceğini açıkladı.
Erdoğan'ın bu açıklamaları, 14 Mayıs 2023'te yapılacak erken seçimler öncesinde yapıldı.

Speaking to the public before attending the groundbreaking ceremony for Togg SIRO battery factory, President Erdogan highlighted the importance of the factory and its contribution towards Turkey's technological advancement. He also mentioned the significant investment in natural gas reserves in the Black Sea, which is expected to yield up to one trillion dollars in revenue.
President Erdogan went on to make several announcements related to tax exemptions and other support measures for small businesses. He stated that the exemption limit for value-added tax (VAT) would be increased from 320,000 liras to 700,000 liras, and that those who sell products made at home online or through other platforms will also be included in this exemption. Additionally, those who operate commercial vehicles such as taxis, minibuses, and trucks will not have to pay an additional special consumption tax when they renew their vehicles.
President Erdogan also accused opposition parties of undermining the country's security and progress, with particular criticism directed towards the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP). He promised to continue reducing inflation and invest in the country's future, including plans for establishing an Aile ve Gençlik Bankası (Family and Youth Bank) to support families and young people.
He also announced a plan to provide two years of interest-free loans up to 150,000 Turkish liras for young entrepreneurs looking to start businesses, and for young couples seeking to buy homes. These announcements were made ahead of the snap elections scheduled for May 14th, 2023.
